These terms apply to the Journal: Self Improvement app (“Journal”) for iPhone and Android, provided by [COMPANY OR DEVELOPER NAME]. By downloading or using Journal you agree to them. If you downloaded Journal from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
Free use and the 7-day period
The Plan page is free to use. Schedule, Health, Reflect and History are available free for 7 days from the first time you open Journal on a device. After that, they need an active subscription. Your entries are never deleted when access ends.
Subscriptions
- Journal offers a monthly subscription ($4.99 per month) and a yearly subscription ($49.99 per year). Prices may vary by country and are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.
Using Journal
Journal is a personal planning tool. Health features such as water and workout tracking and sleep times are for your own information and are not medical advice. You are responsible for keeping your phone and its backups safe; because your journal is stored on your device, we cannot recover lost entries.
Third-party calendars
When you connect Google, Outlook, iCloud or other calendars, Journal reads and writes events on your behalf. Those services are provided by third parties under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability.
Warranty and liability
Journal is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY / STATE], except where the law of the country you live in requires otherwise.
